What is the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

Eligible Canadians without private insurance can receive affordable dental care through the Canadian Dental Care Plan, a federal program. The primary goal of this program is to provide financial assistance for necessary dental procedures, such as cleanings, fillings, and preventative care. It seeks to enhance utilization of oral health services and also narrow the dental health gap within the country.

Yes, Serenity Smiles provides free parking for all our patients. We strive to make your visit as convenient as possible, ensuring a stress-free experience from the moment you arrive at our clinic.

A dental hygiene clinic is concerned with the prevention of oral diseases with services such as professional cleanings, evaluation of the oral cavity and teaching good hygiene practices to clients. These clinics aim to maintain optimal oral health, preventing issues such as cavities and gum disease.

Licensed professionals with a focus on preventive oral care are known as dental hygienists. They perform teeth cleanings, conduct oral health assessments, and educate patients on maintaining proper oral hygiene. Hygienists play a vital role in preventing dental issues like cavities and gum disease.

Taking good care of your mouth is essential to your general health. If proper dental hygiene is not observed an individual is bound to develop gum disease and tooth decay and other complications such as heart disease and diabetes. People can avoid these problems by practicing good oral hygiene and getting their teeth checked by a dentist every now and then.

To take proper care of your teeth and gums clean your teeth at least twice a day using fluoride-containing toothpaste, floss daily and use an antiseptic mouthwash. Visit your dentist regularly for check-ups and cleanings, and limit sugary foods and drinks to protect your teeth.
